By season 2, Laverne & Shirley was an undeniable hit. Penny Marshall & Cindy Williams clearly had fantastic on-screen chemistry, and the supporting characters of the show (Squiggy, Lenny, Carmine, etc.) had begun to establish their place in pop culture as well. Season 2 brings us such classic episodes as 'Guinea Pigs,' where the girls volunteer as subjects for a psych study (with hilariously disastrous results), and 'Steppin' Out,' a day-in-the-life episode that somehow captured the essenece of this glorious show in just 22 minutes. Season 2 also brought us many appearances by Rosie Greenbaum (Carole Ita White), an underrated gem of a character (and an actress).
