Summary:  Frank proposes to Edna, and the girls get started on helping the couple plan their wedding, but a few obstacles get in the way of the big day.

Guest Stars:  Don Bexley (best known for Sanford & Son) as Reverend Larry
Best Quote:  "...And you got a place, and I got a place, and that's a lot of places. So, what are you going to do about it?” -Frank, attempting to propose to Edna
Most Touching Moment/Quote:  Frank proposing:  "Let me tell you. You know I ain't romantic. I can't say a lot of those fancy words and nice things, y'know. I get mixed up a lotta times talking. One thing I know very much - I love you."
Funniest Moment:  Shirley pretending to be Louie as Laverne has her smutty dream.
Squiggy Hello:  None
Featured Songs:  The girls in the wedding gospel choir, singing Frank & Edna's vows back to them.
Strangest Moment:  Squiggy digging into a giant, human-sized cake, looking for the stripper at Frank's bachelor party. Note that this giant cake was for all of... four people.
Best Insult:  Laverne making fun of Shirley's tongue-stuck-to-roof-of-mouth voice
Saddest Moment:  Edna getting teary after Laverne tells her how happy she'd be to have her in the DeFazio family.
Fun Tidbit: Carmine walks Edna down the aisle AND is also the best man. Am I the only one who never realized they were this close??

Episode in One Ridiculous Picture:

Star Rating:  3.5/5
Verdict:  There are some really well-done sweet moments in this episode - Laverne/Edna's scene together is particularly powerful, and it's nice to see how Frank & Edna truly feel about each other. The comedic elements are a bit lacking here though, with the gospel-singing final hurrah being slightly underwhelming.
